In 1990 Jim Barrie began producing albums of his father, William, singing piobaireachd. With William’s resonant voice and a pleasing instrumental accompaniment, the albums have received rave reviews from listeners around the world. They have a broad appeal, both for their inherent musicality, and as a learning tool for the serious piobaireachd student.
The first two volumes were released as cassettes, which are now out of production. Jim has had many requests to re-release them on CD. Volume III, released in 1998, was the first CD in response to those requests.
